Activate and Deactivate zSpace Applications

The purpose of this article is walk a user through the process of activating and deactivating all zSpace provided license keys.

Activating Licenses

If you are launching applications using zCentral, you first must tell zCentral to show unlicensed applications by moving to the Search menu and moving the slider to the left to turn off My zSpace Content Only before unlicensed applications will be visible.

zSpace licenses

This applies to the zSpace Learning Apps (Newton's Park, Curie's Elements, Franklin's Lab, or Euclid's Shapes), zSpace Studio, zView, and Labster Experiences. The zSpace Experiences are licensed by licensing any Learning Applications.

  • To activate any zSpace authored applications, launch the application and you will be prompted to enter a license key.

VIVED Learning licenses

Human Anatomy Atlas licenses

  1. Launch Human Anatomy Atlas. 
  2. Enter the license key (serial number)
  3. Enter a valid email address. Any valid email address can be used. This is simply used for logging who activated the license key.

GTAFE Licenses:

Be sure to right click the GTA shortcut and select "Run as Admin" when activating the license.

Mimbus WAVE NG licenses

Vizitech ECG

  • Launch ECG and you will be prompted to enter a license key

Fun2 Advanced Manufacturing: Fluid Power and Advanced Manufacturing: Mechanical

  • Launch the application and you will be prompted to enter a license key

 

Deactivating Licenses

zSpace applications which require a license key may also include a License Manager. The License Manager allows you to check for license updates, deactivate a license, or enter a different license key for your application

Learning Applications and Studio 4.x and newer

To deactivate licenses for any of the Learning Applications, including Franklin's Lab, Newton's Park, Curie's Elements, or Euclid's Shapes, or deactivate Studio license, please perform the following.

  1. Launch your application which is using zSpace license key.
  2. Select the settings button on the left side control bar as pictured.

  3. Under License Management, select License Manager
  4. Here you will be given an option to Deactivate License.

Learning Applications and Studio 3.x

To deactivate licenses for any of the Learning Applications, including Franklin's Lab, Newton's Park, Curie's Elements, or Euclid's Shapes, or deactivate Studio license, please perform the following.

  1. Launch your application which is using zSpace license key.
  2. You must be logged in to the application using the zSpace EDU server with a teacher account or logged in offline as an admin. If you must use the offline admin account, please contact zSpace support to learn how to do this.
  3. From the main menu, select the settings button on the left side control bar as pictured.
  4. Under License Management, select License Manager
  5. You will see a new panel as shown below.
    • If the options on this screen are grayed out, that is because you are not logged in as a teacher or admin. Please see step 2 above.
  6. This panel will show the last 8 characters of your currently used license and license expiration date.
  7. Check for License Updates will update your license key. For example, updating your license expiration date upon renewals.
  8. Activate a Different License will prompt you to enter a different license to be used for your application.
  9. Deactivate License will deactivate the license for currently running application so it can be used on another PC.

zSpace Experiences

Labster Experiences

zView

zView does not have a license manager. To deactivate a zView license, please perform the following

  1. Launch zView.
  2. From anywhere with zView, press ctrl+alt+F2. You will see a license deactivated message.

VIVED Learning Licenses

Visible Body - Human Anatomy Atlas 

  • Please contact zSpace Support to deactivate your Human Anatomy Atlas licenses.

GTAFE Licenses

Users can find their license and version information at the bottom of the settings UI. In the license management section, users can also deactivate an existing license.

  1. Open the settings menu.
  2. Select Deactivate License.
  3. Select yes to deactivate license.
  4. The license can now be used on another zSpace.

WAVE NG

  • Please contact zSpace Support to deactivate Wave NG licenses

Vizitech ECG

  1. Launch ECG.
  2. At the first menu, click on Show Product Key.
  3. Click on Deactivate.

Fun2 Advanced Manufacturing: Fluid Power

  1. Launch Advanced Manufacturing Hydraulics.
  2. Click on the settings menu along the top of the screen.
  3. Click on license deactivation.
  4. The application will close.

Advanced Manufacturing: Mechanical

  1. Launch Advanced Manufacturing Mechanical
  2. Using the stylus, click on the plus sign to expend the menu.

  4. Click on deactivate in the lower right hand corner of the window.

  5. The application will now close.
