VIVED Science - Hiding models

Article last updated:

VIVED Science (formally Cyber Science 3D) contains models which may be considered not appropriate for certain viewers. For this reason, VIVED Science, when installed using zSpace App Manager, hides certain models by default. This can be enabled or disabled as needed.

*With the current release of VIVED Science, this process has changed. The files currently on the zSpace to turn these models on or off will not work. The current workaround is to download the attached files and follow the steps outlined below. A final fix will be posted with the next release of VIVID Science.

To make all models available (grade appropriate off)

Performing this will turn on all models which may be considered not appropriate for young viewers.

  1. Download the attached file
  2. Run this file with elevated privileges. This can be done by right-clicking the file and selecting Run as Administrator.

To hide some models (grade appropriate on)

Performing this will turn off models which may be considered to young for some viewers.

  1. Download the attached file
  2. Run this file with elevated privileges. This can be done by right-clicking the file and selecting Run as Administrator.

*When updating or installing VIVED Science, models which may be considered too young for some viewers (grade appropriate on), will be set. After each update or new install of VIVED Science, you will need to perform the above steps to view all models.
