EDU Server and TeacherDashboard: Logging in and creating accounts

This article will walk you through logging into and using zSpace AnswerWeb to create accounts to access zSpace EDU Server. Creating your first teacher account, creating additional teacher accounts, and creating student accounts are all covered.

Accessing zSpace AnswerWeb

zSpace AnswerWeb can be accessed one of several ways:

  1. On the PC which is running zSpace EDU Server, open the web browser and enter the URL: http://localhost:4000/#
  2. On any PC which is on the same network as the zSpace EDU Server, open your web browser and enter the URL: http://<YourIPAddress>:4000/#
    • <YourIPAddress> is the IP address of your EDU Server

  3. On any PC which is on the same network as the zSpace EDU Server, open your web browser and enter the URL: http://<computer-name>:4000/#
    • <computer-name> is the name of the PC running the zSpace EDU Server

Creating teacher accounts

Before you can import accounts or create any student accounts, you will first need to create a teacher account.

  1. Access the zSpace AnswerWeb.
  2. Select Create Account.
  3. Enter the following information (* denotes required field):
    • *Username
    • Last Name
    • First Name
    • *Password
    • *Confirm Password
    • *Administrator security code (If you do not know the Administrator security code, please contact zSpace Support)
  4. Click Submit
  5. The new teacher account will now be created and can be used to log in

 

Create new student or teacher account

Both student and teacher accounts can be created while logged into AnswerWeb

  1. Log into the AnswerWeb as a teacher
  2. Select Accounts along the top menu bar
  3. Select New Account.
  4. Enter the following information (* denotes required field):
    • Last Name
    • First Name
    • *Username
    • *Account Type
  5. Select Create Account
  6. The next time the new student or teacher logs in they will be prompted to enter a password

 

Importing Accounts

You can create accounts by importing account details using a comma delimited file (.csv). Please follow the instructions in this article to import accounts into AnswerWeb.
